2014…A Year to REMEMBER….

Screen Shot 2014-01-05 at 10.28.16 AM

I don’t know if this is a new tradition…maybe to take the place of the New Year’s Resolution – that we all know quickly falls by the wayside…but I hear people declare a “word” for their New Year…

“This is going to be a year of Faith for me”…”This is going to be my year of Hope”…

So…

I am claiming and declaring that this year is going to be a Muscle Memory year

Muscle Memory…the formation of an automatic response in your muscles…a habit…formed through lots and lots of practice….drawn upon in stressful situations…

Do you know what the Medical Community considers the most important muscle in the human body?  The Heart!

…and what a Heart knows by heart is what a Heart KNOWS!!

Have you ever heard the stories about heart transplant patients who remember the past experiences of the person who previously owned the heart.  There are a lot of stories, discussions, and studies being done in the Scientific Community regarding the “cellular memory” of the heart…and how that “memory” affects patients who go through heart transplants…

What does your heart KNOW?

What Spiritual Cellular Memories have formed in your Heart?

Calling upon those memories…Remembering what God has done…is the key to retaining your Hope and your Joy when Life hits you hard.

Ron Lawhon preached out of Mark on Sunday morning, and he quoted a scripture that I hadn’t really considered before…

Mark 6:52…

For they failed to consider or understand [the teaching and meaning  of the miracle of] the loaves;  [in fact] their hearts had grown callous [had become dull and had lost the power of understanding].

 They failed to Remember…they forgot

This is going to be my year to Remember…I am going to exercise my Heart Muscle Memory and form some major Muscular and Cellular Memories

…and then I am going to head into the Driver’s License office and make sure that I have the “Organ Donor” box checked :)

If you are not saved and would like to begin a relationship with Jesus…and begin forming your own Muscle Memory in your Heart…go here to say a Sinner’s Prayer…or go here to speak to someone from our Church
