Happy Mother’s Day….

Praying Mom and childPsalms 84:1-4….

How lovely is Your tabernacle, O Lord of hosts!

My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Even the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, Where she may lay her young

Even Your altars, O Lord of hosts, My King and my God.  Blessed are those who dwell in Your house;

They will still be praising You.  Selah

As wives and mothers, we women are the keepers of the home.  We are given the incredible opportunity to frame our homes around the Living God.  Just like the sparrow and the swallow in Psalms 84, we need to be building our nests at the altar of God….we need our homes to be a place where God sets up residence.

Are we inviting the Living God into our homes through our repentance, prayer, and praise?  Are we building our relationships with our husband and our children on the alter of God?  Are we living out our dailies as if God is in the room?

We need to set God as a seal upon our hearts (Solomon 8:6)….upon our homes….and upon our families.  This Mother’s Day let’s reflect upon the homes that we are building, find the areas that need strengthening, and rededicate those areas to God.

If you are interested in building your nest at the altar of God but have not yet accepted Jesus as your personal Saviour go HERE to say a sinners prayer….you can also go HERE to contact someone from the church.  Giving your heart and your life to the Living God, and being forgiven and made new by the Blood that Jesus shed on the Cross for you are perfect gifts to give yourself and your family this Mother’s Day.
